Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Judgyapp ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone interacting with platform content.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Nature of the Service

Judgyapp provides an online community dispute submission and voting platform. AI-generated verdicts are produced for entertainment and informational purposes only. No verdict, community vote, or AI output constitutes legal advice, binding arbitration, or has any enforceable legal effect in any jurisdiction. We strongly encourage users to seek qualified legal counsel for real legal matters.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in the following on or through the platform:

• Publishing personally identifiable information of any person (DOXXING)
• Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of other users — whether in public posts, comments, or private Direct Messages
• Using the Direct Message system to send spam, threats, unsolicited bulk messages, or any content that violates these Terms. Access to DMs is a privilege restricted to mutual followers and must not be abused
• Vote manipulation via bots, scripts, VPNs, or organized brigading
• Submitting defamatory, fraudulent, or legally actionable content about real people
• Impersonating Judgyapp staff, other users, or public figures
• Uploading malware, phishing content, or conducting unauthorized data scraping
• Creating duplicate accounts following a suspension or ban

5. Social Features: Following & Direct Messaging

Judgyapp includes a social follow system and private Direct Messaging (DM) feature. The following rules apply:

• Follow / Unfollow: You may follow any public user profile. Following is voluntary and may be revoked at any time by either party. Follower and following counts are publicly visible on user profiles.
• Direct Messaging: Private messaging is exclusively available between two users who mutually follow each other (each follows the other). This requirement is enforced at the technical level — one-sided follows do not grant messaging access. Messages are limited to 1,000 characters each.
• Message Storage & Privacy: All direct messages are stored securely and are accessible only to the two participants of the conversation. Message content is never shared with third parties or processed by our AI systems.
• Conversation Deletion: Either participant may delete a conversation at any time. This action is permanent and irreversible — all messages in the conversation are erased for both users immediately.
• Notifications: Platform activity (new followers, messages, comments, replies) generates in-app notifications. These are private to your account and are automatically cleared upon being read or upon account deletion.

6. User Content & License

You retain ownership of the content you submit. However, by posting any content on thejudgy.app, you grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, adapt, and process your content for platform operation, including using it to generate AI verdicts. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on third-party rights.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in harmful behavior, or where we believe a risk of legal liability exists, without prior notice and at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.

8. Platform Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice or liability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable EU and Dutch law, Judgyapp, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or real-world consequences arising from dispute outcomes. Our aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or such minimum amount as required by mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

11. Governing Law and Regulatory Compliance

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union regulations, including the GDPR. thejudgy.app complies with applicable EU regulations including the Digital Services Act (EU 2022/2065). As a micro/small platform, we are subject to the baseline obligations of the DSA including transparency, content reporting mechanisms, and cooperation with authorities. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
