User Agreement
Last updated: April 2026 · Effective immediately upon account creation or continued use.
1. Who This Agreement Applies To
This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between you ("User", "you") and Judgyapp ("we", "us", "platform") for all use of the services available at thejudgy.app and any associated applications. By creating an account, submitting content, voting, messaging other users, or browsing the platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
2. Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including all content you submit and all messages you send. You must keep your login credentials confidential and immediately notify us of any unauthorized access. You may not transfer, sell, or share your account with third parties. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Agreement without prior notice.
3. Content You Submit
By submitting disputes, comments, votes, evidence, direct messages, or any other content ("User Content"), you confirm that:
- You have the legal right to share this content.
- The content does not violate any applicable law, third-party rights, or Judgyapp community rules.
- The content does not contain real names, personal addresses, phone numbers, or any information that could be used to identify or harm a real person (DOXXING).
- You grant Judgyapp an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, process, and use your content for platform operation, including AI verdict generation. This license does not apply to the content of private direct messages, which is not used for AI processing.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate, permanent account termination:
- DOXXING: Publishing real names, locations, or identifying information of any person without explicit consent.
- Harassment: Targeting users with abusive, threatening, or degrading content — whether in public disputes, comments, or private direct messages.
- Messaging abuse: Using the Direct Message system to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, threats, or any content that violates these terms. Each private conversation is initiated only between users who mutually follow each other; misuse of this access is a serious violation.
- Vote manipulation: Using bots, scripts, VPNs, or coordinated groups to artificially inflate or deflate vote counts.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another person or entity, including Judgyapp staff.
- Illegal content: Sharing content that constitutes defamation, incitement, hate speech, or promotion of illegal activities.
- Spam: Submitting repetitive, irrelevant, or commercially motivated content without authorization, including through the messaging system.
- Evasion: Creating new accounts after a suspension or ban to circumvent enforcement actions.
5. Social Features: Following & Direct Messaging
Judgyapp includes a social graph system and private direct messaging feature. By using these features, you agree to the following:
- Follow / Unfollow: You may follow any public user profile on the platform. When you follow a user, they receive a notification. You may unfollow at any time. Follower and following counts are publicly visible on user profiles.
- Direct Messages (DMs): Private messaging is only available between two users who mutually follow each other (i.e., each follows the other). This requirement is enforced technically at the system level. One-sided follows do not grant messaging access.
- Message content: Messages are limited to 1,000 characters per message. All messages are stored securely in our database and are only accessible to the two participants of the conversation. Message content is never processed by our AI systems.
- Conversation deletion: Either participant may delete a conversation at any time. Deleting a conversation permanently and irreversibly removes all messages within it for both participants. This action cannot be undone.
- Notifications: Platform activity — including new followers, messages, comments, and replies — generates in-app notifications. Notifications are private to your account and deleted upon being marked as read or upon account deletion.
6. AI Verdicts & Disclaimer
AI-generated verdicts on Judgyapp are produced for entertainment and informational purposes only. They constitute no legal advice, binding arbitration, or judicial determination under any jurisdiction. No verdict issued by our platform has any enforceable legal effect. You agree that you will not rely on any Judgyapp verdict as a substitute for qualified legal counsel.
7. Payments & Tokens
Token purchases made through the platform are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer protection law. Tokens hold no monetary value outside the platform and cannot be exchanged for cash. We reserve the right to modify token pricing, packages, and functionality at any time with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Judgyapp, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: reliance on AI verdicts, disputes resulting in real-world consequences, loss of data, service interruptions, or any harm arising from user-to-user interactions including direct messages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the incident giving rise to the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Judgyapp and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your violation of this Agreement, your User Content, your messages to other users, or your misuse of the platform.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union regulations, including the GDPR and the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek). Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
11. Changes to This Agreement
We reserve the right to update this Agreement at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the platform or registered email address. Your continued use of the platform after notification constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
